Setting up SHOP
It all begins with a Press. This baby required more than my standard corner of the room studio set up. I found Mr. Wright at our local Arts Community center on the third floor, where no one was willing to move him. The Print Gods were working in my favor as I provided a small donation to take this baby home and moved it out of their space, so win! Win! Now I've been slowly collecting, and self-manufacturing needed shop tools and equipment. My most significant Blockade has been proper ventilation. Just trying to arrange accessible ventilation for multiple printmaking methods in a humble basement studio and on minimum cost has been a brain exercise. Still, I think my current plan will work. Leave me with an operating draft hood. . The beauty of having your own shop/studio is that it's going to continue to evolve, and your work can grow with it. My goal should be to make it feel right for right now and create as often as possible. Later improvements will take care of itself. It always does.
